NEW SPEED FREAKS

Fingers crossed, the following new stuff should all be available at your local Speed Freaks stockist now.

Starting with something slightly off kilter is the nice new Police car which you’ve probably noticed on the opening page of this web site.

Believe it or not Plod actually asked us to do this subject. I suppose after discovering they are the ones who buy most of the Police figures I do, a traffic car was next on their wish list. The super sharp amongst you will spot it’s based on an M5! So next time your Speed Freaks are seen to be racing around your display cabinet, I suggest they pull over, as a very powerful Battenberg cake might just be behind.

Other new cars just screaming to a halt, brakes ticking as they cool on the shop shelves include two cars from opposite ends of the racing spectrum. I couldn’t resist adding the new racing version of Munich’s latest M3. ‘Time Machine’ comes complete in the white and three colour racing stripe war paint as standard. The other new car is found at the other end of the cost budget, so far as racing goes. I guess if you are into track days this little car might be tucked up in your garage. ‘Norfolk Rocket’ needs no introduction. It’s what Speed Freaks are all about.

If you already own ‘Ray’s Rapid Recovery” (the green break-down truck) you can now add the owner of said truck to your collection. Ray! Based on about six people I know. Ray’s your typical local garage owner. Always ready to help, never turns down a cash job and faithfully wears all the jumpers his wife knits for him! Albeit to work in! As well as Ray, the garage crew have grown again with the addition of Metal Mick. Mick is one of Ray’s crew, along with Solvent Sid who likes nothing better than cutting up metal. He’s the Hot Rod fan of the gang. Give him a roof chop to do and he’s as happy as Larry.

Last but not least in the new line up comes something for you bikers. At long last I’ve succumbed and brought two new sports bikes into the Speed Freaks collection, ‘Slippy Rear’ and ‘Slider Research’. So if you’re more of a ‘crutch rocket’ type of biker, then these two new subjects should be right up your street!
