These two new Speed Freaks creations come from the two opposing ends of the Hot Rod bible. On the first page you’ll find the Hot Rod Grin and tucked up in one of the pages near the back you’ll find Orange Smoothie.
The new Hot Rod Grin is about as basic and as cheap as Hot Rods come. This old model A has been dragged from the back of a barn, it’s not been fired up since its days at the Fremont drag strip back in the sixties with its tired old paint and original racing numbers.
A drop of gas, a change of oil and it fired into life — just like that! And now the new young owner just can’t stop flying around in it with a grin as wide as Texas!
Orange Smoothie on the other hand isn’t a Rod that was found and brought back to life in a day. This is one serious ‘34 sedan. Chopped and channelled, every inch of its now ‘less is more’ smooth stance has taken a ton of money and a whole heap of time to create.
Sitting together on the shelf kinda sums up what the Speed Freaks world of Hot Rods is developing into one hot collection!

For the more mature collector of Speed Freaks who just might have something rather desirable tucked away in their own garage, this new range is slightly more subtle than the main ‘in-your-face’ Speed Freaks collection.
A smoother style, no less aggressive, no less…speedy. Yet somehow a little more grown up. Two old favourites have joined the grid and, as with the other cars in the collection, they both have five-star track records — although one of the two might be more at home off the track!
The all-winning RS Born Slippy and Stage Fright add a seventies flavour to the collection. As with the other Track Classics these two new additions come complete with their own larger plinths, emblazoned with the now iconic Speed Freaks skid marks.

Okay admit it — you all know these characters.
The ever-so-efficient speed camera-packing police officer…the slightly over-the-top track day driver who could drive a little quicker if he lost a few pounds…the car sprayer who works under the arches who likes to paint everything red!
‘Sorry officer, I didn’t get to hear your little whiny sirens over the exhaust I’ve got fitted to this here motorcycle…’
